The Town of Trenton, Maine currently has a contract with Eastern Maine Recycling (EMR) in Southwest Harbor to cover disposal of all forms of solid waste generated within our town.  Most if not all of Trenton’s trash and recycled materials picked up by collectors such as Gott’s Disposal are routed through EMR on the way to their final destination.  Trenton’s contract with EMR also allows Town residents and businesses to take materials directly to EMR’s facility themselves.

Directions to the EMR transfer station in Southwest Harbor:
From Trenton onto MDI, follow Route 102 through Town Hill and Somesville to the start of Southwest Harbor (start of 25 MPH zone, about 4.5 miles from Somesville) then turn RIGHT onto Seal Cove Road.
After about 0.6 miles, bear RIGHT onto Long Pond Road.
The transfer station is about 0.4 miles further on the LEFT.

Hours of operation:
