Trenton Animal Control

All dogs 6 months of age and older are required by State Law to be licensed with the municipality before December 31st of each year. Every dog must have a valid Rabies shot in order to be licensed. 

The fees to license a dog are $11.00 for unaltered dogs and $6.00 for fixed dogs. Please bring neuter/spay certificate for initial registration. 

Each owner is given a grace period until January 31st to get their dogs licensed. After February 1st there is a $25.00 late fee for each dog on top of the regular registration fee.

Please call ahead if your doing your dog license through the mail. Dog licenses can be renewed on the State of Maine website.

The Town of Trenton participates in the on-line motor vehicle re-registration service offered by the Maine Department of Motor Vehicles. Pay via Visa, Master Card or E-checks. Click here

Property Tax

The Town of Trenton offers the option of credit and debit card payments for your transactions, including payment of personal and property taxes. Please note: We use a third-party payment processor, Maine Payport, that charges a 2.5% services fee. The additional fee does not go to the Town. This is the same service provider that is used when payments are made in person in the Town Office.
